Office 365 Migration
CLIENT SUCCESS STORIES
Client Profile:
A local chapter of a global not for profit organization which focuses on educating students about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs.
Client Challenge:
The organization needed to replace their IT hardware and desired to simultaneously upgrade to the latest Microsoft software. Additionally, the organization’s exchange servers and share drives were approaching end of life support. The organization wanted to use this opportunity to migrate to the cloud, rather than simply replacing servers and purchasing new licenses.
Management brought in Herndonwood to manage the resolution of the gaps because they understood the need to supplement existing staff, obtain missing skills, act quickly, and create structure around the process.
Approach & Solution:
Herndonwood migrated the organization to Office 365 for the latest Microsoft Office applications, email, SharePoint and more.

Business Impact:
The Office 365 migration provided an increase in business capabilities and IT reliability while shifting a large capital expenditure for hardware and licenses to a low monthly subscription. Email is now securely hosted in Microsoft’s cloud providing more storage, email encryption, and mobile phone access. The organization now utilizes SharePoint and OneDrive to collaborate and store files. Users are able to easily access their files off-site through any web-browser, and they can share files with people outside of the organization. The organization also discovered additional cost savings since Skype for business replaced their existing web-conferencing subscription.
